About Aryanna

With a background in psychotherapy, yoga, and maternal wellbeing, Aryanna specializes in supporting women and mothers — especially expats — on their journey toward rest, healing, and connection. Through Motherest, she offers personalized coaching, group workshops, and informal meetups that create lighthearted, welcoming spaces for women to recharge, grow, and share their experiences.

Originally from Boston, Aryanna established roots in Barcelona throughout her 20s. Now settled in the Castelldefels area, she saw a need for connection and community among local expats and mothers. Motherest was created as a space for developing deep connections in a friendly & lighthearted community.

we often know how to keep going, but we need to learn how to pause

Aryanna holds a Master of Education (EdM) and a Master of Arts (MA) in Psychological Counseling & Mental Health Counseling from Columbia University, along with advanced certification in Sexuality, Women, and Gender, focusing on Reproductive and Maternal Wellbeing.

Before moving to Barcelona, she practiced as a Psychotherapist in New York, integrating her certification as a Yoga Teacher to offer holistic & somatic-based psychotherapy. Her unique educational and professional experiences allow her to integrate psychological insights with holistic practices, helping women find balance in both mind and body.

“may we listen to our body and become more connected to life’s rhythms

“There are moments for yin & moments for yang…After living much of my life running around burnt out and overwhelmed, I spent some time leaning into a softer pace. Slowing down, finding ease and allowing rest.

Then something magical happened: I learned how to accept both. By listening to my body I feel more connected to life’s rhythms – the ebbs and flows – the moments of yin and yang.

Nothing’s perfect but living day to day with this in mind feels like allowing all parts of me to exist at once"
